Our coaching is structured, usually aimed at
specific goals or resolving specific complaints, and is fairly brief
(typically 5-15 sessions). We will often offer you homework to do between sessions to
help you learn to coach or mentor yourself.
To accelerate your success, we suggest that you ...
- Consider what you really want. If you want to
work on one issue, it probably should be important - especially if it is something
that you need to fulfill other significant goals or to prevent something that sabotages you - e.g.
I want to replace chronic anger with a sense of peace.
- Describe what you want as clearly as you can.
E.g., if your goal is a happy family, do you want to change your habits,
find a new partner, change your relationship with a relative, or what?
- Take responsibility for your life. We can
help you dream great dreams, and then find ways to make them reality. We can walk
with you through your metaphoric mountains and jungles. We can encourage and
support you on almost every step to making your dreams come true.
- Reach for your own goals. We help people take action.
If you want someone else to change ... consider how you can motivate that other person
to act in the way you prefer.
- Ask us questions about what you want. We
may ask you unusual questions to expose important insights, and we may make
unreasonable requests to provoke or motivate you.
- Deal with what you can before your session.
We probably don't need to know so much of your history. Your future success is
probably more important than your past disappointments.
- Prepare - help us work together towards your
future and your goals ...

and e-mail to us it so that we have your background information.
- Review each session with us. Consider what you
learn from each session, and what we may be able to accomplish during our
next meeting.
- Feedback - let us know what is of most value to
you. Let us know what's working and what you find less useful.
- Breakthrough = Insight + Action! Insight without
action is like a kiss on the cheek; it's briefly interesting but rarely
inspirational. Use your insights to inspire action!
