It is easier for both health professionals and most patients
to use drugs as a substitute for change. Alcohol, nicotine or prescription
anti-depressants and stimulants are easier than applying intelligence, focus
and analytical skills to relationship and emotional problems.
Although drugs are more profitable for health professionals,
the long-term consequences and side-effects are unacceptable to an increasing
number of medical professionals and their patients.

Women taking medication are wise to seek
medical advice before conceiving or immediately following conception, to lower
the risk of adverse effects on unborn children.

Can Medication be Dangerous to your Health?
Some solutions are worse than the problems. Some cures are
worse than the diseases. Some common drugs and medications cause injury, pain,
suffering and symptoms of mental health disorders.
|
Are your symptoms a consequence of your
relationships? Do you believe that drugs can solve relationship problems? |
Many people struggling to improve themselves and their lives are
stuck in confusion, depression and insomnia. These symptoms are sometimes caused
by common foods and by common medications such as
pain relievers, stimulants and tranquilizers - both legal and illegal.
|
If your physician
prescribes a medication, ask about the
side-effects listed by the manufacturer of that medication. |
Every medication contains chemicals that may cause side
effects. Some side effects are physical, such as nausea or blurred vision, and
some side effects affect mood and emotions. If someone has a mental disorder, why
not check if medication causes the symptoms? List what medications are taken, and
compare the medication history to the symptom history. Ask unbiased medical professionals
about the side effects of any drugs that were prescribed for you or your family.
|
Ask physicians if they would prescribe your
medication to their own family members! |
Check the Prescription ... Notice the Effects
A study by the American Medical Association
revealed that prescription drugs kill over 100,000 people in the USA
every year, hence prescription drugs are the fourth leading cause of death.
Further, in each year there are over two million
serious adverse drug reactions in America alone (this means that people
required hospitalization or were permanently disabled ... or died).
|
Read the label! Wrong drugs and wrong dosages
kill or injure hundreds of thousands of people. Specific concerns include:
Prescribing errors. Poor handwriting. Verbal orders. Ambiguous orders.
Orders not modified or cancelled. Look-alike and sound-alike drug names.
Wrong abbreviations. Faulty drug distribution. Poor labeling. Ignorance. |
Even if correctly prescribed, and packaged by a pharmacy
technician, some medications may induce delusions and mental disorders,
(as may food allergies, food sensitivities, environmental conditions and
toxic relationships).
You need not be a victim ... you can observe when the
symptoms are worst! You can notice which patterns of medications, food
and relationship behavior seem to precede unpleasant symptoms.
|
Common drugs such as Darvon®,
Demerol® and Percodan® are addictive narcotics that can impair brain function,
cause mood swings and disturb sleep. |
Some medication side-effects increase the symptoms
that a drug was supposed to control. This may lead people
to take more of a symptom-producing drug in an effort to control that
symptom. Over 100 million prescriptions for mood-changing drugs are made
annually in North America alone!
If only 1% of these prescriptions are to alleviate
the undiagnosed side-effects of other drugs, that's a million meaningless
and expensive prescriptions for potentially harmful drugs every year.
But it may be acceptable by some as good business in a consumer driven industry.

I talked to a few doctors about my son's medications.
I received very different answers so I did some research. It seems that
drug companies provide most post-graduate training for doctors, who only
prescribe drugs that they know about ... I found a doctor who changed
my son's medications with amazing results. She discovered that my son
is allergic to a common filler used in many drugs. Idaho, USA |
Addicts to both illicit and prescription drug
addicts can turn things around by finding drug rehab programs that exist in
most cities and countries. There is a drug treatment center for all kinds of
drug addiction, from cocaine to prescription drugs.
Medication & Relationships
Many addictive drugs are used to control symptoms caused
by relationship problems - including alcohol and nicotine. Read reference
materials about the potential side effects of medications or psychoactive
drugs. And consider how drugs affect your relationships. Do you take drugs
so that you can stay in relationship with someone ... perhaps to stay in
a job that you hate doing work you detest?

It's harder to find health professionals who
don't take psychiatric drugs. When I worked in xxx clinic, I was one of few staff
who didn't take anti-depressants and/or benzodiazepine daily. Where would
medical professionals be without Prozac? San Diego, USA |

Food Allergies & Mental Health
Some mental disorders are caused by allergies to
common foods, such as sugar, corn, wheat, milk products or potatoes.
Many people who are sensitive to foods display symptoms such
as confusion, aggression, hyperactivity or depression, rather than
physical symptoms such as a rash. Other common causes of mental health
problems include intolerance to food additives or preservatives.
Depression .
Learning Disabilities
. Eating Disorders
Many apparent mental disorders are sensitivities and
allergies to home, work or environmental contaminants, vitamin deficiencies
and stress. Yet the most common cause of disease seems to be relationship issues.
Clarifying and resolving relationship issues may bring a near-miraculous and
drug-free alleviation of mental health and even some physical symptoms. See
When Disease Makes Sense.
Some Side Effects of Drugs and Medications
Consult a physician about any opinions or recommendations
about medications, medical symptoms or medical conditions.

Medical insurance rarely covers anything preventative
or alternative or emotional ... medical insurance is more likely to pay for
physical damage and for healing diseases caused by unhealthy lifestyles and
sick relationships.
